Pronunciation of my name.

Yoohoo. The pronunciation of my name has been stirred up in my life after I came to UK. People from different parts of the world have different pronunciation to it and I got really worried. I am so afraid that my pronouncation for the past 20 odd years has been wrong HAHAHA. But the thought of listening how my fellow 'Alicia' friends pronounce their name in Singapore, I think I am not so wrong, ya ya? LOL.

So, I went to research a little about this name and indeed there is quite a few of pronunciations available of my name. And I actually don't prefer the one how Alicia Silverstone calls herself. I assume Singaporeans pronounce it as "uh-LEE-shuh", like how I did for my entire life.

Then people from India telling me it should be pronounced as uh-lee-see-uh and I oftenly hear the various other types of pronunciation from other nationalities.

During the research process, I read on forums where people discussed about it too! Hahahaha, the starting part was demoralising seriously, everyone says it should be uh-LEE-see-uh/ah. Then eventually someone brought it out that an alternative pronunciation would be uh-LEE-shuh, depending on where the person is from. So I was quite happy when more people agree to the uh-LEE-shuh one. The last part was bad. Everyone started posting that they prefer the former one to the latter, and that uh-LEE-see-uh/ah is more sexy or pretty or whatever la.

Oh did I mention the worst part? Some idiots decided to say: I don't care how it's pronounced, I hate this name anyway.

I always like my name Alicia hahahahahaha. The six letters are so cute ok. I got 4 vowels in the 6-lettered name alone, ooh..naise.
